Multimodal LLM Algorithm Engineer Intern (Global E-Commerce, Knowledge Graph) - 2027 Start (PhD)

- Build product catalog and content understanding systems using structured and semantic representations.
- Develop algorithms for product matching, deduplication, cross-lingual aggregation, clustering, and semantic alignment.
- Build pricing algorithms for price comparison, product pricing, monitoring, anomaly detection, and supply optimization.
- Construct multimodal semantic links across video, product, and content entities.
- Explore generative search and recommendation using representation learning and SID modeling.
- Develop generative algorithms for identity-preserving and aesthetically consistent e-commerce visual creatives, including background synthesis, virtual try-on, and lifestyle-scene generation.
- Develop business-facing agents for price comparison, product analysis, content generation, and merchant operations.
- Own the end-to-end algorithm workflow, including data construction, model training, evaluation, deployment, bad-case analysis, and iteration.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a PhD in Software Development, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Strong research or practical experience in NLP, computer vision, generative models such as Diffusion, GANs, or ControlNet, multimodal learning, large models, or agents.
- Proficiency with PyTorch or TensorFlow and hands-on experience in model training, tuning, and deployment.
- Experience with LLMs/VLMs, Embedding/SID, RAG, tool calling, or agent planning is preferred.
- Experience with distributed training, mixed precision, inference acceleration, TensorRT, or LLM serving optimization is preferred.
- Experience in multimodal retrieval, product or content understanding, search or recommendation, pricing algorithms, intelligent agents, or AIGC projects is preferred.
- Familiarity with Video LLMs, multimodal reasoning, vision-language alignment, long-video understanding, or generative search and recommendation is preferred.
- Publications, open-source contributions, or strong algorithm competition records are preferred.
