Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and test high-throughput, low-latency microservices for ad decisioning and delivery.
- Enhance observability through metrics, monitoring, and alerting.
- Translate product requirements into actionable engineering tasks.
- Own one or more team domain areas within the Decisioning Fleet.
- Build and improve ad qualification, selection, competition-analysis, and supporting ad-serving capabilities.
- Integrate AI-assisted development practices responsibly into daily workflows.
- Collaborate across teams and systems and participate in on-call rotations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering, or relevant work experience.
- 5+ years of software engineering experience.
- Proficiency with Java.
- Experience with ReactJS or similar frontend frameworks and ability to learn new technologies quickly.
- Demonstrable analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and teamwork skills with technical and non-technical audiences.
- Preferred experience with Spring Boot and related Spring projects, modern frontend development, DynamoDB, Redis, ValKey, MemCache, Apache Kafka, Kinesis, AWS, Terraform, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with AI productivity tools and ad technology domain knowledge is preferred.
Benefits
- Full-time position with a stated hiring range of $141,900–$190,300 in Los Angeles, $148,700–$199,400 in Seattle, and $155,400–$208,400 in San Francisco; bonus and/or long-term incentive units may also be provided.
- Full medical, financial, and other benefits may be available depending on level and position.
- Engineers are expected to work in the office four days per week.
- Role locations include San Francisco, Santa Monica, Glendale, or Seattle.
