Responsibilities
- Develop, verify, certify, test, and document real-time embedded aviation software for cockpit display systems.
- Design and implement software in accordance with DO-178C guidelines.
- Execute predefined project subtasks to meet customer specifications and deadlines.
- Test developed avionics software on real avionics hardware and platforms.
- Exchange requirements, technical drawings, specifications, and task-level information with team members.
- Participate in project meetings, presentations, and an agile global development team.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues arising from applications or flight testing.
Requirements
- Experience with C++ and C.
- University degree in a technical field.
- Technical knowledge of avionics architectures or platforms and DO-178 is valued.
- Knowledge of 2D/3D software development using Vulkan or OpenGL is valued.
- Knowledge of scripting languages such as Pearl or Python is valued.
- Knowledge of software configuration-management tools including GitHub and Bitbucket is valued.
- Understanding of the software development lifecycle and requirements-based development is valued.
- Good troubleshooting, communication, English-language, and international collaboration skills.
- Willingness to learn, take on ambiguously defined tasks, and travel when needed.
