Responsibilities
- Design and develop AI-powered applications, autonomous agents, copilots, and intelligent automation solutions.
- Build LLM applications, RAG solutions, agent orchestration patterns, prompt management, tool integrations, memory management, and context engineering capabilities.
- Fine-tune, evaluate, optimize, monitor, and govern AI models, including responsible AI, explainability, and drift detection.
- Translate business requirements into scalable AI architectures and create reusable AI engineering components.
- Build ETL/ELT pipelines, data workflows, datasets, and integrations with enterprise systems, APIs, databases, and cloud services.
- Ensure data quality, lineage, security, and governance standards for structured and unstructured data.
- Build CI/CD, model deployment, monitoring, retraining, observability, logging, and lifecycle management processes for AI applications.
- Lead small teams and technical workstreams, mentor junior engineers, drive technical decisions, conduct code quality reviews, and support roadmaps, estimation, sprint planning, and delivery governance.
Requirements
- 10+ years of software engineering, AI engineering, machine learning, or data engineering experience.
- 8+ years of hands-on experience building generative AI applications.
- Experience leading technical workstreams or small engineering teams.
- Expert-level Python and advanced SQL skills; JavaScript/TypeScript is preferred.
- Experience with LLMs, prompt engineering, agentic AI architecture, RAG implementations, machine learning fundamentals, NLP, and document intelligence.
- Experience with Databricks, Spark, or equivalent data engineering technologies; data pipelines and workflow orchestration; and structured and unstructured data processing.
- Experience with Microsoft Azure or AWS cloud platforms and associated AI, data, and ML services.
- Experience with MLOps/DevOps, GitHub or Azure DevOps, Docker, MLflow, CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, and observability tools; Kubernetes is preferred.
- Experience with SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Snowflake, vector databases, and NoSQL databases.
- Ability to lead AI engineers and developers, mentor junior engineers, establish engineering best practices, and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders.
