Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of full-stack applications using industry best practices and modern technologies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and implement features that improve user experience and system performance.
- Conduct code reviews and provide technical mentorship to junior engineers.
- Ensure code quality and performance through comprehensive testing and debugging.
- Automate CI/CD pipelines on large container platforms.
- Support batch monitoring and job scheduling using Airflow, Autosys, and Control-M.
- Integrate AI capabilities into production workflows with responsible-use controls.
- Perform data-access performance tuning at scale and enable rapid, reliable releases.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience.
- 10+ years of hands-on software engineering experience delivering Java, Spring, and Spring Boot systems in production.
- Strong expertise in Java, the Spring Framework, Spring MVC, Spring Boot, design patterns, microservices architecture, and RESTful APIs.
- Experience with AI code assistant technologies such as Copilot, Claude Code, and Windsurf.
- Strong understanding of AI agent architecture and prompt engineering.
- Strong understanding of DevOps principles, coding best practices, and Agile development.
- Proficiency automating CI/CD pipelines on Docker and Kubernetes platforms.
- Experience with Airflow, Autosys, and Control-M for batch monitoring and job scheduling.
- Proficiency in scripting, SQL, stored procedures, and transaction management.
- Strong RDBMS expertise, preferably Oracle, and experience with data-access performance tuning at scale.
- Experience integrating AI capabilities into production workflows with responsible-use controls.
