Base Salary

$131k - $237k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Architect, build, and manage end-to-end prototype lifecycles from conceptual design and lab setup through configuration, troubleshooting, validation, and final documentation.
  • Identify material requirements including hardware, software, and supplemental staffing.
  • Serve as a Kubernetes subject matter expert by providing architectural guidance, technical leadership, and best practices.
  • Collaborate with cybersecurity, infrastructure, networking, development, engineering, program management, and government teams.
  • Support secure, compliant, performant, and reliable Kubernetes platform operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree with 12–15 years of relevant experience, or a master’s degree with 10–13 years of relevant experience; a technical doctorate may also qualify.
  • Active Secret clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance.
  • Deep expertise with enterprise Kubernetes distributions such as RKE2 or similar production-grade platforms.
  • Hands-on knowledge of Kubernetes control planes, worker nodes, scheduling, networking, storage, and security.
  • Understanding of DevSecOps, CI/CD pipelines, automation frameworks, container security, troubleshooting, performance optimization, and platform reliability engineering.
  • Experience deploying Kubernetes on premises, preferably with Harvester.
  • Experience with Rancher, Helm, ArgoCD, Istio or service mesh technologies, and Prometheus/Grafana.
  • Familiarity with Zero Trust Architecture and experience supporting Kubernetes in DDIL environments.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to evaluate cost, schedule, technology, and risk.
  • Ability and willingness to travel 10% of the time.
