Responsibilities
- Analyze, design, develop, test, implement, and support applications and databases.
- Create AWS Step Functions and Glue jobs and integrate third-party products and services.
- Translate technical specifications into code for complex new and enhancement projects.
- Lead backend optimization for performance, scalability, and responsiveness.
- Integrate data sources, APIs, and services to improve data flow and system efficiency.
- Create and maintain backend architecture and technical documentation.
- Implement security, data protection, resilience, and enterprise development standards.
- Collaborate with front-end teams on backend interfaces.
- Promote code through development, test, and production environments and provide production support.
- Participate in design, code, and test inspections and perform systems analysis.
- Train and mentor less experienced staff and resolve elevated issues.
- Communicate with cross-functional teams and ensure compliance with technology and information security policies.
Requirements
- Experience with AWS Lambda, Step Functions, Glue, S3, IAM, CloudFormation, and serverless architectures.
- Strong TypeScript and Python development experience.
- Basic Angular and front-end development experience.
- SQL development and database design experience.
- Experience with ETL, data pipelines, and cloud-native data processing solutions.
- Experience with source control and CI/CD practices using GitHub.
- Strong troubleshooting, debugging, and production support skills.
- Experience working in Agile environments using Jira and Confluence.
- AWS Cloud Practitioner Certification or higher.
- Experience with Databricks.
