Base Salary
$223k - $259k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead on-site architecture, deployment, and configuration of the Core Aggregation Node in SOCOM’s secure distributed cloud environment.
- Stand up, harden, operate, and maintain AWS GovCloud workloads and Kubernetes clusters across cloud and on-premise environments.
- Architect and troubleshoot secure cross-domain data synchronization through Cross Domain Solutions and data diodes.
- Translate operational realities, customer needs, network constraints, and security requirements into actionable technical requirements for product engineering.
- Lead technical customer engagement, requirements discovery, feasibility coordination, and communication with government stakeholders and Program Management.
- Provide Tier 2/3 troubleshooting and sustainment engineering, including root-cause analysis, authorized fixes, workarounds, and defect coordination.
- Support integration, testing, demonstrations, deployments, and operational validation while documenting results and deficiencies.
- Maintain integration documentation, configuration baselines, deployment procedures, troubleshooting guides, and technical knowledge transfer materials.
Requirements
- Active TS/SCI clearance and U.S. citizenship are required.
- At least 5 years of experience in platform engineering, DevOps, site reliability engineering, or cloud infrastructure engineering.
- At least 2 years of technical experience with container orchestration, cloud-native architectures in secure environments, CI/CD pipeline design, and infrastructure-as-code tooling.
- Experience with AWS GovCloud or equivalent FedRAMP-authorized platforms at IL4, IL5, or IL6 impact levels.
- Experience deploying, configuring, and troubleshooting complex systems in live production environments.
- Experience leading customer discovery sessions and translating operational needs into clear, testable technical requirements.
- Experience diagnosing application, data synchronization, integration, and networking issues and coordinating escalations with software engineering teams.
- Preferred experience includes Cross Domain Solutions, data diodes, Authority to Operate processes, STIG implementation, vulnerability management, and SOCOM or SOF-centric environments.
- Preferred experience includes ArgoCD or Flux, event streaming platforms such as Kafka, NATS, or RabbitMQ, DoD or classified network environments, and systems programming with Rust, Go, or C++.
- Strong written and verbal communication, adaptability, problem-solving ability, and experience communicating technical constraints and remediation plans to customers are required.
