Responsibilities
- Translate domain strategy, target architecture, standards, and guardrails into project-level Salesforce solution architecture.
- Lead solution design covering architecture diagrams, technical approaches, integrations, data, security, and non-functional requirements.
- Decompose architecture into sequenced technical deliverables, dependencies, implementation approaches, and ownership.
- Translate architecture into Jira epics, technical enablers, stories, and implementation milestones.
- Guide implementation-level decisions involving configuration versus custom development, low-code versus pro-code, integrations, data, and security.
- Maintain architecture involvement through implementation and review outcomes for alignment with approved designs and standards.
- Document architecture decisions, assumptions, dependencies, risks, and deviations.
- Identify and remediate architecture risks, technical debt, cross-team dependencies, and non-functional concerns.
- Escalate cross-domain decisions and material exceptions to the Principal Architect or architecture governance forum.
- Provide architecture guidance and coaching to technical leads, developers, and delivery team members.
- Contribute reusable patterns, lessons learned, and delivery feedback to the Salesforce architecture community and Center of Excellence.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, systems engineering, information technology, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- At least eight years of experience in software engineering, systems engineering, solution architecture, or a related field, including significant Salesforce delivery experience.
- Demonstrated solution or delivery architecture experience within complex enterprise programs.
- Strong understanding of Salesforce solution design, configuration, custom development, integration, data, security, and application lifecycle considerations.
- Experience translating high-level architecture into executable technical work packages and delivery backlogs.
- Experience working with Jira in Agile delivery environments.
- Preferred Salesforce architect-level or advanced technical certifications.
- Preferred experience with large-scale, multi-team Salesforce environments and formal architecture governance or design-review processes.
- Preferred experience in regulated, highly integrated, or globally distributed enterprise environments.
- Master’s degree or certification in solution architecture, cloud architecture, enterprise architecture, or an equivalent area is preferred.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, documentation, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
