Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and improve high-quality, scalable, maintainable, and performance-optimized software solutions.
- Build production applications using Java, the Spring ecosystem, and modern front-end technologies such as React or Angular.
- Design and implement robust RESTful APIs and services.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, engineers, and other functions to define requirements and solution strategies.
- Participate in code reviews and promote code quality, knowledge sharing, secure coding, and technical excellence.
- Implement unit, mutation, component, and integration testing practices.
- Use observability, logging, and monitoring tools to troubleshoot and support production systems.
- Contribute to infrastructure evolution, deployment pipelines, containerization, orchestration, and operational excellence.
- Lead complex assignments, guide team members, set objectives, coach employees, and manage performance where leadership responsibilities apply.
- Identify and mitigate risk, strengthen controls, develop policies and procedures, and communicate complex information to stakeholders.
Requirements
- Strong hands-on experience with Java 17 or Java 21 and Spring Boot, Spring MVC, and Spring Security.
- Advanced front-end development experience with React and/or Angular and excellent JavaScript skills.
- Proven ability to design and implement RESTful APIs and services.
- Strong experience with Maven or Gradle and modern software development lifecycle practices.
- Strong testing expertise with JUnit, Mockito, PiTest, Stryker, Karate, WireMock, and React Testing Library.
- Strong SQL Server or Oracle database experience, including efficient query writing and data-model understanding.
- Experience with Elastic and Kibana for observability, logging, monitoring, troubleshooting, and production support.
- Strong experience with GitLab or Bitbucket and modern code collaboration practices.
- Experience implementing deployment pipelines with Jenkins or GitLab CI and working with DevOps teams.
- Good understanding of cloud architecture and deployment models.
- Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments and contributing to delivery and engineering practices.
- Experience with AI-assisted development and automation tools such as GitHub Copilot, Microsoft Copilot, GitLab Duo, or Claude.
- Ability to demonstrate risk and controls, change and transformation, business acumen, strategic thinking, digital and technology, and role-specific technical skills.
