Base Salary
$140k - $175k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop the DigitalOcean Managed Kubernetes product.
- Create back-end gRPC services written in Go deployed on Kubernetes.
- Design back-end services and author engineering design documents.
- Raise the bar for Operational Excellence.
- Independently lead projects.
- Navigate the complexity of distributed systems in production.
- Break design documents into actionable epics and stories with estimates.
- Run experiments to optimize user experience and increase DOKS adoption.
- Contribute to and maintain open-source projects.
- Collaborate with the developer community through various channels.
- Identify and integrate emerging tools and methodologies.
- Regularly interact with customers to understand their product needs.
- Contribute to discussions on architecture and design patterns.
- Work on teams that operate across multiple time zones.
Requirements
- Expert knowledge of Kubernetes internals and Go.
- Experience operating Kubernetes platforms at scale.
- Ability to drive complex projects from inception through completion.
