Responsibilities
- Design common components, frameworks, and models for AI-native and full-stack LLM applications.
- Own end-to-end development of frameworks, models, and ML pipelines in partnership with consuming teams and dependencies.
- Lead prototyping and experimentation to develop accurate and performant production systems.
- Establish and own metrics and optimization approaches for machine learning applications.
- Explore emerging generative AI and AI capabilities and identify improvements to existing use cases.
- Collaborate closely with AI scientists, product, design, and business-unit product teams.
Requirements
- BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 8+ years of experience building or designing AI/ML applications.
- At least one year of experience leading a team of AI/ML engineers.
- Proficiency building with Python, PyTorch, NumPy, Pandas, and TensorFlow.
- Knowledge of supervised, unsupervised, and reinforcement learning fundamentals and production-grade model development using precision and recall.
- Ability to apply training, validation, testing, error, cost, and optimization principles to machine learning systems.
- Strong computer science fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, performance complexity, and software performance considerations involving I/O and memory.
- Experience integrating applications and platforms with cloud technologies such as AWS SageMaker.
- Understanding of LLMs, LangChain, CustomGPTs, and prompt management, with the ability to fine-tune base models for production-grade LLM applications.
