Base Salary
$110k - $160k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop generative AI platforms and solutions, including AI agents, RAG, knowledge bases, data mining, anomaly detection, and LLM fine-tuning.
- Design, implement, test, deploy, and operate machine learning and distributed-system software.
- Build and maintain Python services and APIs using FastAPI and cloud-native infrastructure.
- Lead system design and architecture for large distributed systems.
- Mentor engineers and provide technical or engineering-team leadership.
- Handle big data, optimize workflows, and improve system performance.
- Deliver intelligent, high-performance multi-agent systems for Extreme networking products.
Requirements
- A degree in mathematics, computer science, or a related discipline is required.
- At least 4 years of full software development lifecycle experience, including design, coding, code reviews, testing, builds, deployments, and operations.
- At least 4 years of advanced Python experience.
- Expertise designing APIs with hands-on FastAPI experience.
- Proficiency with Docker, Kubernetes, and modern CI/CD practices.
- At least 2 years leading the design and architecture of large distributed systems, preferably on AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Experience mentoring, serving as a technical lead, or leading an engineering team.
- Preferred: MS or PhD in Computer Science or equivalent experience in machine learning.
- Preferred: experience with PyTorch, SageMaker, Triton, TensorRT, NoSQL and document databases, big data, workflow optimization, and system performance improvement.
