Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of Java and Python microservices and shared libraries for the AI Governance product.
- Build cloud-native applications on Microsoft Azure using Core Java, REST, and the Spring ecosystem.
- Develop reusable reporting, dashboard, semantic-layer, metric-abstraction, query, caching, and drill-down capabilities.
- Lead Kafka and Apache Flink integrations that process observability events and generate dashboard-ready datasets and derived metrics.
- Integrate runtime metrics, logs, traces, alerts, policy decisions, and evidence through AI observability APIs and data contracts.
- Own technical design for scalable, secure, reliable, and multi-tenant systems.
- Partner with frontend, UX, Product, Customer Success, security, platform, and observability teams on product and platform direction.
- Lead architecture discussions, multi-quarter roadmaps, code reviews, testing standards, incident response improvements, and technical mentoring.
- Improve defect detection, monitoring, resilience, operational maturity, and delivery against service-level requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related technical or business field.
- 12+ years of professional software engineering and development experience.
- Strong expertise in Java/J2EE, Spring, Python, design patterns, microservices, and cloud-native distributed systems.
- Experience leading reusable platform, reporting, analytics, or data products supporting multiple teams or dashboards.
- Hands-on experience with Cube.js, semantic layers, metric layers, or comparable metric/query abstraction systems.
- Hands-on Apache Flink experience with real-time stream processing, windowed aggregation, event correlation, or derived-metric generation.
- Experience designing Kafka-based event-driven services and data-ingestion pipelines integrating SQL databases, analytical platforms, APIs, and observability systems.
- Strong experience with data modeling, dataset contracts, pre-aggregation, read models, caching, query optimization, and data-quality controls.
- Experience building secure, multi-tenant SaaS platforms with tenant isolation, authentication, authorization, and secure service-to-service communication.
- Experience with AI/LLM platforms and production AI workloads, including model orchestration, RAG, evaluation, guardrails, or runtime observability.
- Understanding of REST, OAuth, JSON, SQL, NoSQL databases, and Python or Bash scripting.
- Experience with CI/CD, automated testing, production monitoring, incident response, Agile development practices, and cloud platforms including Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud.
- Ability to lead multi-quarter roadmaps and align engineering, product, UX, security, platform, and observability teams.
- Preferred experience with OpenTelemetry, VictoriaMetrics, Prometheus/MetricsQL, Grafana Loki/LogQL, Grafana Tempo/TraceQL, Alertmanager, Open Policy Agent, Databricks, Delta Lake, Power BI, Kubernetes, dashboard systems, AI governance, compliance, GRC, audit evidence, graph data models, SDK telemetry, model gateways, or regulated environments.
