Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and delivery of scalable, resilient, secure software solutions.
- Drive technical architecture, engineering best practices, standards, governance, and modernization initiatives across projects and teams.
- Lead technical discussions and design reviews with engineers, product managers, architects, and stakeholders.
- Mentor and guide software engineers and foster technical excellence, innovation, and continuous learning.
- Contribute hands-on to software development, code reviews, debugging, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
- Translate business requirements into technical solutions with cross-functional teams.
- Champion automated testing, observability, cloud-native development, and other modern engineering practices.
- Use AI-assisted development tools to improve developer productivity, code quality, and delivery efficiency.
- Support release planning, technical risk assessment, production support, system reliability, scalability, security, and maintainability.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience in software engineering, application development, or related disciplines.
- Proven experience leading enterprise-scale software applications and distributed systems.
- Strong hands-on coding experience with Java, Python, JavaScript, or TypeScript.
- Solid experience using AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude, or AI-driven development platforms.
- Strong expertise in software architecture, design patterns, microservices, and API-driven development.
- Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP and modern engineering practices.
- Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and version control systems such as GitLab and GitLab Pipeline.
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with observability, monitoring, performance tuning, and security best practices.
- Knowledge of agile development methodologies and modern engineering workflows.
- Excellent analytical, communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.
- Preferred experience includes data-intensive, high-availability, mission-critical, compliance, risk management, financial-services, regulated-industry, event-driven architecture, messaging-platform, distributed-system, technical modernization, and cloud-transformation work.
