Base Salary
$155k - $215k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications, services, APIs, reusable frameworks, and enterprise platform capabilities.
- Build and optimize distributed data processing solutions, data pipelines, and real-time and batch architectures.
- Design Snowflake-based data platforms and support ingestion, transformation, validation, governance, lineage, observability, and data quality.
- Lead system architecture discussions, technical roadmaps, technology evaluations, and architecture documentation.
- Design graph-based data models, analytics solutions, and network-based insights using graph technologies.
- Conduct design and code reviews and establish practices for testing, delivery, performance tuning, automation, resiliency, and operational excellence.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership across teams.
- Promote AI-powered coding, documentation, testing, review, and engineering workflow automation.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, engineering, information technology, or a related field.
- At least 8 years of software engineering experience focused on backend development.
- Expert-level Python programming experience and strong hands-on PySpark and distributed data processing experience.
- Experience with Big Data technologies such as Spark, Hadoop ecosystem, Kafka, Databricks, and Delta Lake.
- Strong expertise in Snowflake architecture, data modeling, and performance optimization.
- Experience designing and implementing large-scale data pipelines and data platforms, including graph-based data solutions.
- Strong understanding of system architecture, application design patterns, microservices architecture, event-driven architectures, distributed systems, and API design.
- Experience conducting architecture and code reviews and applying CI/CD, DevOps, testing, and software delivery practices.
- Experience with modern AI developer tools and AI-assisted engineering practices.
- Preferred experience includes financial services, risk, AML, transaction monitoring, regulatory technology, data platforms, AWS, Azure, GCP, Docker, Kubernetes, advanced analytics, machine learning or AI workloads, data governance, metadata management, and data lineage frameworks.
