Base Salary
$158k - $214k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build and scale services that select and rank Prime Video content across home and browse experiences at millions of requests per second.
- Design retrieval and ranking systems that search the Prime Video catalogue and personalize results within strict latency budgets.
- Take ambiguous problems through design, launch, A/B experimentation, and measurement of customer impact.
- Partner with applied scientists to move models from offline evaluation into production serving.
- Improve shared retrieval paths, configuration, and experimentation tooling.
- Deliver high-quality software in an agile environment.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- At least 2 years of experience designing or architecting new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
- At least 1 year of software development engineer or related occupational experience.
- At least 1 year of experience designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded, or distributed software applications, tools, systems, and services using C#, C++, Java, or Perl.
- At least 1 year of object-oriented design experience.
- Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language.
- Preferred: 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
- Preferred: bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent.
