Base Salary
$144k - $214k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build and deploy machine learning models for real-time physical security decisions across AWS regions.
- Operationalize research models into production-grade inference pipelines with Applied Scientists.
- Own training infrastructure, real-time serving, monitoring, retraining, and model iteration.
- Design and implement low-latency, highly reliable distributed model-serving systems.
- Build computer vision pipelines for video and image-based threat detection.
- Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code for machine learning and application infrastructure.
- Monitor production model performance, identify drift, and drive continuous improvement.
- Contribute to architecture, system design, code reviews, testing, deployment, and operational excellence.
- Collaborate with security operations, hardware, and product teams to define requirements.
- Mentor team members and promote knowledge sharing and technical growth.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- At least 2 years of non-internship experience designing or architecting new and existing systems, including reliability and scaling.
- Experience with machine learning and Large Language Model fundamentals, including model architecture, training and inference lifecycles, and execution optimization.
- At least 1 year of experience designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded, or distributed applications, tools, systems, or services using C#, C++, Java, or Perl.
- Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Knowledge of machine learning model architecture and inference.
- Preferred: at least 3 years of full software development lifecycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
- Preferred: bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
