Responsibilities
- Collect, clean, validate, and preprocess structured and unstructured datasets from engineering systems, databases, and operational tools.
- Conduct exploratory data analysis to identify patterns, correlations, data quality issues, and anomalies.
- Implement regression, classification, clustering, and anomaly detection algorithms, including feature engineering and model training workflows.
- Evaluate model performance using statistical and machine learning metrics.
- Assist with deploying machine learning models into production systems and integrating them with engineering tools, APIs, and data pipelines.
- Monitor deployed models for accuracy and performance degradation and support retraining when data drift occurs.
- Collaborate with data scientists, software engineers, and cross-functional engineering teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree with 4+ years, Master’s degree with 3 years, or PhD with 1 year of experience in Computer Science, Data Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Programming experience in R or Python.
- Experience with PyTorch, TensorFlow, or scikit-learn.
- Experience with pandas or NumPy.
- Familiarity with data pipelines, model evaluation, and machine learning experimentation.
- Knowledge of software development practices, including version control and testing.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Ability to travel occasionally, up to 10 percent, for team meetings or training.
