Base Salary

$182k - $242k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain FPGA logic for server-class or embedded platform functions.
  • Define and implement interfaces between FPGA logic and adjacent platform components.
  • Support early hardware enablement, board bring-up, and validation across multiple hardware revisions.
  • Diagnose complex issues spanning FPGA logic, firmware, BIOS, and hardware interfaces.
  • Improve platform robustness, fault handling, telemetry, and operational behavior.
  • Collaborate with ODMs, silicon vendors, and firmware partners to define requirements.
  • Contribute to repeatable validation workflows and tooling for FPGA testing.
  • Create and maintain clear technical documentation for FPGA architecture and interfaces.
  • Participate in design reviews and mentor other engineers.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional experience in firmware, embedded systems, or FPGA development.
  • Hands-on experience with Intel/Altera FPGA devices.
  • Proficiency in Verilog or SystemVerilog for RTL development.
  • Proficiency in C or C++ for low-level firmware and platform integration.
  • Experience with board bring-up, hardware validation, and system-level debugging.
  • Familiarity with hardware interfaces and protocols such as I2C, SPI, and PCIe.
  • Experience using hardware schematics and device datasheets for embedded development.
  • Ability to debug interactions across FPGA, firmware, BIOS, and hardware layers.
  • Comfort working in Linux environments with Git-based workflows.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
