Base Salary
$182k - $242k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain FPGA logic for server-class or embedded platform functions.
- Define and implement interfaces between FPGA logic and adjacent platform components.
- Support early hardware enablement, board bring-up, and validation across multiple hardware revisions.
- Diagnose complex issues spanning FPGA logic, firmware, BIOS, and hardware interfaces.
- Improve platform robustness, fault handling, telemetry, and operational behavior.
- Collaborate with ODMs, silicon vendors, and firmware partners to define requirements.
- Contribute to repeatable validation workflows and tooling for FPGA testing.
- Create and maintain clear technical documentation for FPGA architecture and interfaces.
- Participate in design reviews and mentor other engineers.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional experience in firmware, embedded systems, or FPGA development.
- Hands-on experience with Intel/Altera FPGA devices.
- Proficiency in Verilog or SystemVerilog for RTL development.
- Proficiency in C or C++ for low-level firmware and platform integration.
- Experience with board bring-up, hardware validation, and system-level debugging.
- Familiarity with hardware interfaces and protocols such as I2C, SPI, and PCIe.
- Experience using hardware schematics and device datasheets for embedded development.
- Ability to debug interactions across FPGA, firmware, BIOS, and hardware layers.
- Comfort working in Linux environments with Git-based workflows.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
