Base Salary
$170k - $220k/yr
Responsibilities
- Operate and improve production services, focusing on deployment, monitoring, and system health.
- Build and maintain observability tooling to enhance signal and reduce noise.
- Contribute to SLI/SLO definition, alerting, and reliability reporting.
- Participate in on-call rotations and drive post-incident follow-ups.
- Reduce operational toil through automation and improved developer-facing tooling.
- Collaborate with product and platform engineers to enhance deployment safety and system resilience.
Requirements
- Experience building and shipping software with strong backend and infrastructure skills.
- Comfortable debugging production systems and working under pressure.
- Passionate about writing maintainable code and automation for operational problems.
- Curious and proactive with a desire to understand and improve system failures.
- Familiar with observability, incident management, on-call practices, cloud infrastructure, and Kubernetes.
