
Software Engineer - Android Kotlin
HARMAN InternationalResponsibilities
- Lead development of complex user interfaces and UI components for Android Automotive OS applications using Jetpack Compose.
- Drive adoption of the MVVM architectural pattern and UI development best practices.
- Collaborate with UX/UI designers, the UI Architect, and Product Owner on technical feasibility and user experience goals.
- Design and implement comprehensive unit and UI testing strategies.
- Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks and UI/UX issues.
- Mentor junior UI developers through peer reviews and pair programming.
Requirements
- 3 to 6 years of experience in Android application development, with a major focus on UI development using Jetpack Compose.
- Deep technical knowledge of Jetpack Compose, including its architecture and performance characteristics.
- Experience with Android Jetpack components, especially ViewModel and StateFlow/SharedFlow.
- Proven ability to design and implement comprehensive UI testing strategies.
- Strong Kotlin development skills, especially with Coroutines.
- Strong technical, problem-solving, analytical, and critical-thinking skills.
- Navigation domain knowledge is a plus.
- Experience with the Figma toolchain for understanding UI concepts and extracting assets is a plus.
