Base Salary

$164k - $236k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Define and drive UKG’s generative AI architecture strategy and integrate GenAI capabilities across products.
  • Provide hands-on technical leadership in transformer models, diffusion models, GANs, and scalable AI/ML system design.
  • Partner with executive leadership, product management, data science, and engineering teams to prioritize AI initiatives.
  • Conduct advanced generative AI research and implement state-of-the-art techniques.
  • Mentor senior engineering leaders and establish best practices for AI/ML development, MLOps, CI/CD, and quality assurance.
  • Represent UKG through AI publications, speaking engagements, and industry forums.
  • Oversee the deployment and optimization of large-scale AI models for production performance, cost, and resource efficiency.
  • Define AI development methodologies, CI/CD standards, architectural guidelines, documentation, and technical roadmaps.

Requirements

  • MS or PhD in Computer Science, AI, Machine Learning, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience.
  • 12+ years of experience in software development and AI, including at least five years of hands-on experience in generative AI, NLP, or related fields.
  • Proven experience architecting and deploying large-scale AI/ML systems in production.
  • Expertise in Python, Java, TensorFlow, and PyTorch.
  • Strong understanding of AWS, Google Cloud, Azure, and MLOps practices for large-scale model training and deployment.
  • Deep knowledge of transformer models, diffusion models, GANs, large language models, multimodal architectures, NLP, and machine learning algorithms.
  • Recognized AI thought leadership with publications in top-tier conferences or journals such as NeurIPS, ICML, or CVPR.
  • Experience influencing and implementing long-term AI strategy and solving complex technical problems.
  • Preferred experience with high-compliance environments, privacy-preserving AI, responsible AI, model interpretability, ethical AI, model compression, knowledge distillation, and efficient deployment.
  • Preferred experience with cloud-native architectures, Kubernetes, Terraform, and GitHub Actions.
