Base Salary
$180k - $256k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build secure multi-tenant backend services for tenant isolation, authentication, authorization, auditability, and regulated deployments.
- Develop tenant provisioning, self-service administration, customer onboarding, billing, pricing, and metering services.
- Own and evolve public REST, streaming, and asynchronous APIs for human developers and autonomous agents.
- Ship SDKs and define tool and function interfaces used by agents.
- Build trusted, scoped, and isolated integrations for MCPs, agents, and customer-provided data.
- Design schemas and tenant-aware query patterns and operate systems end-to-end, including production debugging.
Requirements
- 7+ years of backend software engineering experience with meaningful experience in APIs, backend services, or platform infrastructure.
- Strong expertise in API design and versioning, multi-tenancy, authentication and authorization, or backend services at scale.
- Strong proficiency with Python and FastAPI, Kubernetes, AWS, and SQL or document databases.
- Experience shipping reliable code, debugging production issues, owning systems end-to-end, and making technical tradeoffs under ambiguity.
- Bonus experience includes multi-tenant SaaS platforms, audit or compliance requirements such as SOC 2, HIPAA, GxP, or FedRAMP, public developer platforms, APIs, SDKs, MCP, OpenAPI, OIDC/OAuth 2.0, tenant isolation patterns, OPA, or externalized authorization.
