Base Salary
$111k - $150k/yr
Responsibilities
- Drive technical execution for connected product software programs.
- Work across embedded firmware, mobile applications, cloud services, and backend integrations.
- Participate in software architecture and system design discussions.
- Define and refine software requirements, workflows, and feature behavior.
- Coordinate technical activities across internal teams and external development partners.
- Review software designs, implementation approaches, and technical tradeoffs.
- Support software verification, validation, and release readiness activities.
- Investigate and resolve complex cross-functional technical issues.
- Perform prototyping, debugging, scripting, and implementation support as needed.
- Maintain software lifecycle documentation and support regulated development processes.
- Identify technical risks early and drive issues to closure.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- At least 4 years of software engineering experience.
- Strong systems-level thinking, debugging, communication, and organizational skills.
- Experience with embedded systems or connected devices and multiple software layers, including firmware, mobile, backend, APIs, or cloud.
- Ability to understand and troubleshoot hardware-software interactions.
- Ability to work independently, take ownership, and operate in ambiguous, fast-moving environments.
- Preferred experience with Bluetooth Low Energy, IoT systems, mobile application development, cloud-connected products, backend APIs, regulated medical devices, software verification and traceability, external development partners, Git workflows, CI/CD systems, and embedded firmware development in C/C++.
