Base Salary
$141k - $222k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and implement embedded software in C/C++.
- Develop software for Layer 2 and Layer 3 in-line network encryptors, embedded cryptographic devices, and emerging cryptographic solutions.
- Use Linux in embedded environments and develop or modify Linux kernel drivers.
- Work with bare-metal embedded device drivers, microprocessors, and embedded processors.
- Design and implement RESTConf interfaces and work with emulation environments.
- Develop in Python and build standalone embedded applications.
- Implement and work with networking protocols including TCP/IP, IPSec, MACsec, and TLS.
- Collaborate with system, test, hardware, and other multidisciplinary engineering teams.
- Develop, test, and certify the Next Generation Encryptor high-speed encryptor.
- Plan, track, and report on project progress.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of embedded software design and implementation experience in C/C++.
- At least 2 years of Linux operating system experience, ideally in an embedded environment.
- Experience using Rust.
- Basic understanding of TCP/IP and common network configuration.
- Object-oriented software development experience.
- Agile Scrum development experience and experience with CI/CD software.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- U.S. citizenship and an active Secret or higher security clearance.
- Ability to travel up to 10%.
- Preferred qualifications include Linux kernel driver development, bare-metal embedded device drivers, NIOS, ARM, RISC-V, Rust or similar memory-safe languages, RESTConf, emulation environments, IPSec, MACsec, TLS, Python, standalone embedded applications, and multidisciplinary engineering experience.

- Onsite role based in Carlsbad, California; Marlborough, Massachusetts; Linthicum Heights, Maryland; or Tampa, Florida.
- Base salary range is $140,500.00-$221,500.00 annually; additional cash or stock incentives and medical, financial, and other benefits may be provided.
- Up to 10% travel may be required.
