Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end science-side delivery of consumer vertical experiences.
- Design, build, and operate data pipelines and APIs for forecast products.
- Partner with research scientists to implement new scientific practices.
- Lead the transition of experimental prototypes into production features.
- Operate AWS infrastructure and apply modern DevOps practices.
- Translate scientific nuances into product realities for stakeholders.
- Participate in the on-call rotation for 24/7 weather operations.
Requirements
- 4+ years of software engineering experience with consumer-scale projects.
- Proficient in Python and experience with TypeScript or JavaScript.
- Knowledge of atmospheric science or related earth-science domains.
- Experience using AI coding assistants in software engineering.
- Production experience with AWS services and modern DevOps practices.
- Hands-on experience with LLM APIs and user-facing applications.
- Familiarity with meteorological data formats and geospatial processing.
