Responsibilities
- Deploy software solutions and provide production support under the supervision of senior DevOps engineers.
- Design and develop software subsystems within a limited scope.
- Work with developers, testers, and deployment teams to execute software deployment plans.
- Write and update automated scripts for server software installation.
- Configure hardware and virtual machines.
- Deploy code in the Amazon Web Services cloud environment under technical guidance.
- Update application infrastructure and operating systems with senior developers and hardware teams.
- Perform laboratory installations and upgrades of server software products and install and upgrade third-party software.
- Monitor system performance, reliability, and daily data processing.
- Review external-facing user documentation and provide documentation support.
Requirements
- Be a rising senior with an expected graduation date between December 2027 and May 2028.
- Be currently enrolled in an accredited college or university and pursuing a bachelor’s degree.
- Have a current program GPA of at least 3.0.
- Be able to travel locally to Spectrum intern development events and activities.
- Have authorization to work in the U.S. without restrictions or need for future sponsorship.
- Preferred: familiarity with technology inputs, outputs, and processing flows; understanding of software design patterns and principles; ability to work collaboratively and independently; and foundational knowledge of software deployment automation using Puppet, Chef, Python, and Ansible.
