Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain a scalable library of reusable front-end components in React/TypeScript.
- Implement and govern a comprehensive system of design tokens for consistency across platforms.
- Develop backend APIs and services to support the design system.
- Create documentation and guidelines to drive adoption of the design system.
- Structure component APIs for easy understanding by AI code generation tools.
- Manage the lifecycle of the design system's infrastructure, including automated testing and CI/CD pipelines.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to define the roadmap for the design system.
Requirements
- 4+ years of professional software development experience with a focus on front-end architecture.
- Proven experience leading the development of a design system from concept to production.
- Expert-level knowledge of React, TypeScript, CSS-in-JS, Storybook, and Figma.
- Proficiency with backend technologies like Node.js, GraphQL, or Python.
- Strong commitment to accessibility, performance, and writing clean code.
- Ability to abstract complexity into reusable patterns and think in systems.
- Excellent communication skills to articulate technical concepts to diverse audiences.
