Responsibilities

Participate in requirements, design, and functional specification reviews to ensure testability and coverage.
Develop test plans, test strategies, and test procedures for system, subsystem, and integration testing.
Design and execute manual and automated test cases using test tools, simulators, and HIL systems.
Perform software and hardware validation against system requirements, interface documents, and functional specifications.
Collaborate with engineering teams and suppliers to identify and resolve defects.
Document defects and support troubleshooting and root-cause analysis.
Generate test reports, metrics, and status updates for project and program reviews.
Develop test automation scripts and utilities and support continuous improvement of test processes and tools.

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience.
Hands-on experience in software test engineering, including debugging and validating complex systems.
Experience testing embedded or control software in safety-critical or regulated environments.
Strong understanding of control system architectures and CAN, Ethernet, and serial communication interfaces.
Familiarity with ECUs and their interaction with sensors, actuators, and subsystems.
Experience analyzing and validating system and software requirements and creating test plans, strategies, and procedures.
Knowledge of diagnostics, events, fault handling, and logging mechanisms.
Experience with Windows and Linux environments.
Strong attention to detail and a structured, analytical approach to testing.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Railway, locomotive, or transportation control systems experience is preferred.
Familiarity with database systems, SDLC, V-Model development, and ALM tools is preferred.
Experience with automated test development using Python, C/C++, CAPL, or similar languages is preferred.
Exposure to HIL, SIL, or simulation-based testing environments is preferred.
