Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain basic to moderately complex applications throughout the software development life cycle.
- Design, code, debug, test, validate, implement, and document application changes across multiple projects and platforms.
- Create program specifications, application implementation plans, flowcharts, and development deliverables.
- Analyze and work with front-end and back-end code, application databases, APIs, and external services.
- Perform unit testing, validation, corrective maintenance, and resolution of code deficiencies.
- Participate in client-facing meetings, joint venture discussions, and vendor partnership teams to determine solution approaches.
- Support the design, development, and enforcement of application standards, controls, procedures, monitoring, and PCI security compliance.
- Provide basic billable-hour and resource estimates and assist with on-the-job training and guidance for other software engineers.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, Management Information Systems, or a related field.
- Typically at least four years of professional experience in coding, designing, developing, and analyzing data.
- Advanced knowledge of one or more front-end or back-end languages and moderate understanding of the corresponding technology area.
- Experience with two or more modern enterprise programming languages, APIs, external services, and relational and NoSQL databases.
- Preferred: six or more years of professional coding, design, development, and data analysis experience.
- Preferred: experience with IBM Rational Tools.
- Working knowledge of relevant operating systems, databases, back-end and front-end technologies, web frameworks, development tools, mobile development, and machine learning technologies.
