Responsibilities
- Write well-designed, reusable, testable, and secure backend code using sound software development practices.
- Design and implement low-latency, high-availability, and performant applications.
- Architect well-defined APIs for user-facing elements built by frontend developers.
- Collaborate with designers, analysts, quality assurance, and other multidisciplinary teammates.
- Participate in and conduct code reviews.
- Discover, learn, and implement new technologies.
- Contribute to the complete lifecycle of mobile software products from research and design through implementation.
Requirements
- BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Experience with one or more object-oriented programming languages, including Java, C#, Python, or Go.
- Proficiency with object-oriented programming, large-scale software architecture, networking, distributed systems, and UNIX/Linux environments.
- Understanding of scalable application design principles and relational and non-relational databases, key-value stores, and search engines.
- Basic understanding of JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
- Strong unit testing, debugging, analytical thinking, problem-solving, communication, time management, and multitasking skills.
- Proficiency with code versioning tools such as Git.
- Preferred qualifications include Java and Spring Framework experience, service-oriented architecture, microservices, REST APIs, large-scale systems, distributed systems, concurrent programming, scripting, Docker, Kubernetes, cloud platforms, stream processing, Scrum/Agile, open-source contributions, and CI/CD practices.
