Responsibilities
- Design, build, integrate, and operate scalable technology capabilities for on-chain compliance monitoring and control.
- Translate AML/CFT, sanctions, Travel Rule, and other regulatory obligations into technical controls, data models, APIs, alerting workflows, case management, and evidence trails.
- Help detect and prevent financial crime risks involving digital assets through automated, explainable, traceable, and auditable controls.
- Support blockchain analytics, wallet risk scoring, transaction tracing, alert triage, investigation workflows, and financial-crime platform integrations.
- Collaborate with international teams across ING locations in a regulated banking environment.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Data Engineering, Cyber Security, Mathematics, Finance Technology, or a related field, or equivalent hands-on experience.
- Understanding of AML/CFT, sanctions screening, transaction monitoring, customer due diligence, enhanced due diligence, and suspicious activity reporting.
- Familiarity with blockchain analytics, wallet risk scoring, transaction tracing, crypto typologies, Travel Rule requirements, and EU digital-asset regulation including MiCA.
- Ability to work with traceability, control evidence, privacy, security, and auditability requirements in a regulated banking environment.
- Preferred certifications include CAMS, ICA, Chainalysis, TRM, Elliptic, or similar blockchain, digital-asset, AML, sanctions, financial-crime, security, data-engineering, or DevOps credentials.
- Preferred experience with blockchain analytics platforms, case management, financial-crime platforms, tokenization, digital assets, stablecoins, CBDCs, custody, settlement, DeFi, decentralized exchanges, mixers, bridges, privacy-enhancing tools, smart-contract risk, graph analytics, entity resolution, anomaly detection, machine learning, data governance, lineage, retention, privacy, access control, and audit evidence.
- Preferred experience with permissioned blockchain platforms and Ethereum-compatible networks, global teams, multi-country regulatory requirements, and enterprise architecture standards.
