Responsibilities
- Architect and implement critical software infrastructure for distributed, large-scale, multi-cloud environments.
- Review architectures and designs across the organization and guide engineers in building scalable cloud services.
- Provide technical leadership and strategic direction for large-scale distributed cloud-native solutions.
- Improve engineering processes and ownership.
- Research, incubate, and drive adoption of new technologies.
- Build cloud platforms supporting Netskope’s API Protection solutions while working cross-functionally.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience, including 2+ years building cloud environments.
- Excellent Unix/Linux experience and programming experience with Go, C, C++, Java, Python, Ruby, and Shell.
- Understanding of IPC mechanisms and experience with TCP/IP, Kafka, ZMQ, gRPC, and ZooKeeper.
- Strong cloud experience with containers, Docker, Kubernetes, etcd, ZooKeeper, service meshes, Vault, Istio, Envoy, API gateways, and load balancers.
- Experience with databases and understanding of ACID, consistency, SQL/NoSQL, key-value stores, time-series databases, and columnar databases.
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Drone, GitHub, and Makefiles.
- Experience with in-memory databases such as Redis.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or equivalent required; Master of Science in Computer Science or equivalent strongly preferred.
- Experience with Node.js and Express for building REST API services is preferred.
