Responsibilities
- Lead the technical design and execution of major products, features, and engineering initiatives.
- Design scalable, reliable, and maintainable systems across backend, frontend, APIs, databases, and infrastructure.
- Write code, prototype, review code, debug complex issues, and solve production problems hands-on.
- Make architecture decisions and technical trade-offs balancing speed, scalability, reliability, and maintainability.
- Set standards for code quality, system design, testing, security, observability, and production reliability.
- Review technical designs and code, mentor engineers, and strengthen technical capability across the team.
- Identify technical risks and architectural weaknesses, improve engineering tooling and automation, and increase team velocity.
- Own systems after release by monitoring production, investigating incidents, resolving root causes, and improving reliability.
- Work with engineering, product, design, and AI teams to deliver high-quality products.
Requirements
- Significant experience building and shipping production software systems.
- Deep technical expertise in one or more areas including backend, frontend, distributed systems, APIs, databases, or cloud infrastructure.
- Strong system design, architecture, coding, debugging, and production systems experience.
- Proven experience leading major engineering projects or providing technical leadership to other engineers.
- Ability to communicate complex technical decisions, influence across teams, and connect technology choices to product and business outcomes.
- Demonstrated personal experience designing, building, shipping, or scaling a serious product, platform, or system.
- Strong English communication skills and ability to work effectively with ambiguity.
