Responsibilities
- Build and maintain innovative product features while actively learning new areas of the product.
- Collaborate with product feature owners to provide insight and constructive improvement suggestions.
- Participate in design and architecture discussions for the Sezzle platform.
- Contribute hands-on code and participate in code reviews.
- Mentor engineers who are beginning their careers.
- Continuously build and deploy scalable solutions with the team.
- Assist with project planning, estimation, and completion for stakeholder-driven initiatives.
Requirements
- Experience solving technical problems as part of a team.
- Demonstrated experience with Claude or equivalent large language model tools, including using AI for productivity, research, and communication.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Familiarity with modern frontend development; React experience is preferred.
- Ability to solve backend problems using Go or a similar compiled statically typed language.
- Intermediate understanding of relational databases such as MySQL.
- Preferred knowledge of automated unit, integration, and end-to-end testing.
- Preferred familiarity with RESTful APIs, microservice architecture, software engineering tools, development methodology, and release processes.
