Responsibilities
- Enable and co-sell with channel partners, including workshops, technical enablement sessions, solution briefings, PoC support, and Japanese-language technical assets.
- Build Docker’s technical presence in Japan through conferences, meetups, hackathons, blogs, how-to guides, and solution briefs.
- Lead technical discovery and strategic customer engagements across Platform Engineering, DevOps, Security, and AI teams.
- Design and execute structured PoCs and PoVs with defined success criteria and executive-ready value summaries.
- Demonstrate and position Docker’s AI security and governance portfolio, including MCP Gateway, AI Governance, Hardened Images, and Sandbox.
- Provide architectural guidance on policy-as-code, identity and access governance, secure software supply chains, container security, and SBOM visibility.
- Maintain relationships with technical champions, support renewal and expansion motions, and provide structured Japan-market feedback to Product and Engineering.
- Develop reusable workshops, demos, reference architectures, and Japanese-language enablement content.
Requirements
- Native or business-level Japanese and working proficiency in English, including the ability to present and write technical content fluently in Japanese.
- Proven experience as a Sales Engineer, Solutions Engineer, Solution Architect, or Developer Advocate in a technical sales or community-facing role.
- Familiarity with AI security, AI governance frameworks, or secure software supply chain practices; direct agentic AI experience is a plus.
- Solid understanding of containers, DevOps, AWS, Azure, GCP, and modern application architectures.
- Experience with partner or channel selling, co-selling with resellers or distributors, or running partner enablement programs.
- Ability to operate across enterprise customer engagements and developer community contexts and communicate with technical and business stakeholders.
- Willingness to travel domestically within Japan for customer, partner, and community events.
- Preferred experience includes Docker or container ecosystems, public speaking, developer advocacy, technical content creation, agentic AI or MCP tooling, AI governance, competitive PoCs/PoVs, and the Japanese enterprise technology landscape.
