Responsibilities

Contribute to the technical vision and make architecture decisions for multi-cloud infrastructure, in-memory technologies, and system design.
Develop Python APIs, services, background workers, and integrations using Postgres and Redis.
Design scalable, reliable, maintainable systems and optimize data models, SQL queries, indexes, and database performance.
Build and maintain third-party API integrations, authentication and authorization, and asynchronous data flows.
Drive operational maturity through observability, incident response, on-call practices, reliability goals, and post-incident improvements.
Conduct code reviews, write documentation, and develop unit and integration test suites.
Collaborate with software and production engineers on scalable services, feature rollouts, reliability, and performance.
Participate in on-call rotation and production support while maintaining Eastern Time working hours.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
7+ years of experience programming in Python.
5+ years of experience with cloud platforms, preferably AWS or GCP.
5+ years of experience with Terraform or infrastructure as code concepts.
5+ years of experience with continuous integration and build tools.
Experience architecting systems from the ground up for scalability, reliability, and maintainability.
Experience with in-memory data processing and database monitoring and diagnostic tools, preferably Datadog.
Experience with Domain-Driven Design, third-party API integration, authentication and authorization, and asynchronous data flows.
Strong experience developing unit and integration tests and defining test strategy and coverage expectations.
Proficiency in SQL query writing and optimization.
Strong communication, collaboration, and practical experience leading Agile development environments.
