Responsibilities
- Design, develop, maintain, and govern the GAM data warehouse and scalable data platforms on Azure.
- Perform hands-on development and code reviews for fellow developers.
- Design, develop, integrate, test, and support cross-functional, multi-platform application systems.
- Translate business requirements into technical designs aligned with the technology roadmap.
- Document technical functionality, infrastructure, interfaces, and integrations.
- Lead cost-effective, innovative solutions that support business objectives and operational efficiency.
- Lead and coach a high-performing team through indirect reporting.
- Collaborate with clients, business partners, and application owners to develop, test, and implement application programs.
- Advise application owners on technology possibilities and requirements.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in enterprise data engineering and Azure platform delivery.
- Expertise with Synapse, Databricks, Unity Catalog, and Medallion data architecture.
- Hands-on experience designing, building, and governing scalable data platforms with Databricks, Delta Lake, PySpark, and Spark SQL.
- Strong experience with Azure Data Factory for data loading and transformation orchestration.
- Development experience with Python, Azure SQL, and Azure Functions.
- Knowledge of API integration, observability, cloud security, and data governance.
- Experience translating business requirements into technical designs and delivering capabilities with technology and business partners.
- Experience in Global Asset Management, investment data, and enterprise governance frameworks is an asset.
- Ability to lead, coach, collaborate, adapt to change, and influence stakeholders.
