Responsibilities
- Design, develop, maintain, and govern the GAM data warehouse and scalable data platforms on Azure.
- Lead technical design, development, integration, testing, implementation, and support of cross-functional, multi-platform application systems.
- Perform hands-on development and code reviews for fellow developers.
- Design and document technical functionality, infrastructure, interfaces, and integrations.
- Translate business requirements into application and system designs aligned with the technology roadmap.
- Lead complex, cost-effective, and innovative solution design activities focused on operational efficiency.
- Lead and coach a high-performing team through indirect reporting and knowledge sharing.
- Collaborate with clients, business partners, technology teams, and application owners to deliver business-aligned capabilities.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in enterprise data engineering and Azure platform delivery.
- Expert knowledge of Synapse, Databricks, Unity Catalog, and Medallion data architecture.
- Hands-on experience with Databricks, Delta Lake, PySpark, and Spark SQL for scalable, secure, high-performing, and governed data solutions.
- Strong development experience with Azure Data Factory and Python.
- Solid knowledge of Azure SQL, Azure Functions, API integration, CI/CD, observability, and cloud security.
- Experience translating business requirements into technical designs and working with technology and business partners.
- Experience in Global Asset Management, investment data, and enterprise governance frameworks is an asset.
- Ability to provide technical leadership, perform code reviews, coach colleagues, and collaborate effectively.
