Responsibilities
- Define and execute the technical strategy for customer engagement and marketing technology platforms.
- Design and implement customer data, audience management, journey orchestration, personalization, decisioning, and channel activation capabilities.
- Establish Snowflake-based customer data activation patterns, data models, identity frameworks, event architectures, and integration standards.
- Deliver batch, near real-time, and real-time engagement capabilities across marketing, digital, service, and advisor experiences.
- Design APIs, microservices, event-driven services, and scalable integrations across SaaS platforms, enterprise systems, mobile applications, and web experiences.
- Partner with Product, Marketing, Architecture, Data Engineering, and Agile teams on platform roadmaps and strategic priorities.
- Lead architectural discussions, evaluate build-versus-buy opportunities, manage technical debt, and identify modernization initiatives.
- Mentor engineers and provide technical leadership across teams and communities of practice.
- Establish engineering practices for DevSecOps, CI/CD, testing, observability, release management, and operational automation.
Requirements
- 10+ years of software engineering experience, including experience at a Staff, Principal, or equivalent technical leadership level.
- Deep experience designing and implementing enterprise-scale MarTech solutions.
- Strong knowledge of customer data platforms, journey orchestration, marketing automation, personalization, decisioning, customer identity and consent management, and omnichannel activation.
- Experience with Adobe Experience Platform, Adobe Target, Hightouch, Salesforce Data Cloud, or Braze.
- Hands-on experience with Snowflake or modern cloud data platforms and warehouse-native activation or composable architecture patterns.
- Strong understanding of customer data models, APIs, integrations, event-driven architectures, Kafka, streaming technologies, and modern data ecosystems.
- Strong hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot, Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, APIs, microservices, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Deep understanding of distributed systems, cloud-native architecture, and software engineering best practices.
- Ability to influence technical direction across multiple teams, communicate complex technical concepts as business outcomes, mentor engineers, and balance delivery with long-term platform strategy.
