Responsibilities
- Provision, monitor, operate, and scale cloud services while maintaining system health, availability, performance, and reliability.
- Lead incident response, resolve operational issues, conduct root cause analysis, and implement continuous service improvements.
- Design, build, and automate deployment, testing, scalability, and observability processes.
- Develop and maintain policies and standards for computing resource allocation and cloud governance.
- Perform systems administration, database administration, and landscape maintenance across globally distributed cloud environments.
- Collaborate with product development teams and cross-train with global team members.
- Participate in an on-call rotation and support scheduled maintenance and after-hours work when needed.
Requirements
- Proven expertise independently operating and scaling cloud-based platforms in production environments using end-to-end DevOps practices.
- Deep hands-on knowledge of AWS cloud infrastructure services, including EC2, S3, RDS, Route 53, CloudWatch, DynamoDB, IAM, ACM, KMS, and VPC.
- Strong expertise in infrastructure automation, CI/CD pipeline design, scripting, programming, Git, Linux, and SUSE.
- Experience with incident management, root cause analysis, systems administration, database administration, and globally distributed cloud environments.
- Understanding of networking, virtualization, internet protocols, observability tooling, and security fundamentals for SaaS multitenant applications.
- Ability to use approved Sovereign Cloud AI tools, including approved Sovereign Cloud agentic AI, in day-to-day work.
- Strong communication, customer focus, trust-building, emotional intelligence, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to obtain the required governmental security clearance.
