Software Engineer SMTS
InformaticaResponsibilities
- Lead the technical design and implementation of production-ready Salesforce applications with reliability, maintainability, security, and scalability in mind.
- Own complex features through requirements analysis, architecture, development, code review, automated testing, deployment, monitoring, and ongoing support.
- Build reusable components and services that improve employee lifecycle experiences and support evolving business processes.
- Design and maintain REST, SOAP, GraphQL, event-driven, batch, and real-time integrations with upstream and downstream systems.
- Assess end-to-end impacts across Salesforce, enterprise data models, dependent applications, and operational processes.
- Partner with product managers, engineering leaders, architects, and cross-functional teams to define scope and deliver solutions.
- Develop unit, integration, regression, functional, and smoke tests and integrate quality controls into delivery workflows.
- Troubleshoot production issues and improve performance, scalability, availability, fault tolerance, telemetry, monitoring, and analytics.
- Provide technical leadership through code reviews, mentoring, standards, documentation, and knowledge sharing.
- Track Salesforce releases and emerging technologies, including Agentforce and Prompt Builder, and recommend responsible improvements.
Requirements
- Typically 5 to 7 years of professional software engineering experience, including ownership of production systems and complex technical features.
- A related technical degree is required.
- Proficiency in one or more of Java, JavaScript, TypeScript, Apex, Python, Go, C#, or .NET, along with strong computer science fundamentals.
- Experience designing APIs and integrations using REST, SOAP, GraphQL, middleware, and asynchronous or event-driven architectures.
- Strong front-end fundamentals with HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript or TypeScript, and component-based UI development.
- Experience with relational data modeling and database technologies including SQL or SOQL; familiarity with PostgreSQL, MySQL, or SQL Server.
- Experience writing clean, testable code and building unit, integration, regression, service, and UI test suites.
- Experience with Git-based development, modern IDEs, CI and CD tooling, release management, and production monitoring.
- Experience delivering software on public cloud or SaaS platforms such as Salesforce, AWS, or Google Cloud.
- Hands-on Salesforce development experience with Apex, Lightning Web Components, SOQL, SOSL, DML, governor limits, and modern platform patterns.
- Ability to review AI-generated code for correctness, performance, security, privacy, licensing, and maintainability.
- Experience with Salesforce Developer Experience, scratch orgs, CLI tools, managed or unlocked packages, AppExchange development, Agentforce agents and actions, MCP tools, or enterprise platforms such as Workday, Slack, and MuleSoft is preferred.
- Experience establishing non-functional requirements, contributing to open source, holding relevant Salesforce, Java, or cloud certifications, or working in Agile or Scrum teams is preferred.
