Base Salary
$110k - $230k/yr
Responsibilities
- Scope, design, and build scalable, resilient distributed systems.
- Collaborate cross-functionally throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Participate in design sessions and code reviews to improve engineering quality.
- Mentor junior engineers and help them succeed.
- Use programming languages, databases, containers, orchestration services, and Azure tools to develop solutions.
- Share best practices and improve processes across teams.
- Define products and use technical expertise to drive appropriate solutions.
- Perform analysis and estimation.
- Contribute to architecture and design for reliability, scaling, and maintainability.
- Conduct risk assessment, design documentation, deployment activities, and configuration-management functions.
Requirements
- At least 8 years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- At least 6 years of architecture and design experience.
- At least 4 years of experience with AWS, GCP, Azure, or another cloud service.
- At least 4 years of experience with open-source frameworks.
- At least 1 year of experience with generative AI/LLM-based applications and agentic systems.
- Experience with at least one modern programming language such as Java, C#, Python, or TypeScript.
- Experience contributing to system architecture and design, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
- Experience defending system designs and mentoring junior engineers.
- In-depth knowledge of computer science data structures and algorithms.
- Understanding of HTML5, JavaScript/TypeScript, XML, JSON, microservices-oriented architecture, and REST APIs.
- Understanding of monitoring, root-cause analysis, Azure networking, Azure PaaS and IaaS, cloud architecture, security protocols, application security, and database technologies.
- Experience with datacenter structures, Azure services or other cloud providers, developer tooling, enterprise design documentation, deployment, and configuration management.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent education or work experience.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, analysis, estimation, and adaptability skills.
