Responsibilities
- Design and implement Java and Spring Boot microservices for insurance platforms.
- Develop maintainable Java code using modern practices and patterns.
- Create, maintain, and troubleshoot Jenkins build, test, and deployment pipelines.
- Manage GitHub repositories, branches, pull requests, and collaborative development workflows.
- Deploy, configure, monitor, and optimize applications running in Kubernetes clusters.
- Integrate services with internal and external systems using APIs and messaging patterns.
- Create and maintain unit, integration, and functional tests.
- Investigate and resolve production issues by analyzing logs, metrics, and traces.
- Document technical designs, deployment configurations, and operational runbooks.
- Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Apply insurance domain knowledge to support policy lifecycle, claims handling, and underwriting workflows.
Requirements
- At least five years of professional Java development experience with Spring Boot and production-grade enterprise services.
- Hands-on experience creating, maintaining, and troubleshooting Jenkins continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines.
- Strong experience using GitHub for source control, issue tracking, branching, and code reviews.
- Experience deploying, scaling, and monitoring microservices in Kubernetes, including use of manifests and supporting tools.
- Understanding of relational data modeling and integration concepts for handling insurance policy and customer data.
- Familiarity with property and casualty insurance or life and annuities insurance is beneficial.
- Ability to work in a hybrid model and day shift while collaborating remotely and onsite with cross-functional teams.
