Responsibilities
- Architect, design, develop, test, maintain, deploy, and operate highly concurrent distributed backend systems in Go.
- Build and operate proxy data-plane gateways and relays and control-plane services.
- Implement secure network protocols, TLS/mTLS, credential brokering, and key management.
- Collaborate with architects, product managers, and DevOps/SRE teams on roadmaps and software delivery.
- Conduct code and design reviews focused on performance, security, maintainability, and quality.
- Diagnose and resolve defects, connectivity issues, and performance problems across distributed multi-cloud environments.
- Maintain documentation for services, APIs, and deployment processes.
- Mentor engineering peers and promote continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- At least 5 years of professional software engineering experience focused on Go, distributed systems, and backend or network service development.
- Proficiency with concurrent and systems-level programming, including goroutines, channels, and Go networking and cryptography libraries.
- Strong understanding of distributed systems, network protocols, and API design using gRPC/Protobuf and/or RESTful APIs.
- Experience with AWS or another major cloud provider and cloud-native deployment models.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, communication, collaboration, and adaptability skills.
- Demonstrated ability to mentor or support teammates.
- Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP is preferred.
- Experience deploying and operating distributed services with Terraform automation and CI/CD pipelines is preferred.
