Base Salary
$95k - $200k/yr
Responsibilities
- Generate mission test scenarios that replicate real-world conditions for autonomy and flight-control software.
- Participate in design reviews and create detailed test plans from requirements.
- Conduct and manage system verification and validation events through flight-readiness qualification.
- Write Python test analyzers to report and benchmark system performance and qualification metrics.
- Produce test-coverage and release-readiness reports from test cases, results, and quality requirements.
- Recommend improvements to simulation models and fault-injection capabilities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field with 5+ years of relevant experience, or a master’s degree with 4+ years, or a PhD with 2+ years; higher experience thresholds apply for Staff and Senior Staff levels.
- Demonstrated expertise in test automation, including writing software to automate testing.
- Strong experience with software product development lifecycles, preferably for autonomy or vehicle systems.
- Understanding of system architecture, requirements derivation, and test planning across the V-model.
- Experience automating test cases in an existing test framework.
- Experience producing technical documentation such as test plans, quality-assurance reports, and operational procedures.
- Proven ability to ship products, navigate development cycles, overcome obstacles, and deliver high-quality solutions on deadlines.
- Experience with autonomous or robotic systems is preferred.
- Experience with simulation software and hardware emulation is preferred.
- Experience in a fast-paced R&D or startup environment is preferred.
- Proficiency in build test automation is preferred.
- Proficiency in Python or C++ is preferred.
