Base Salary
$170k - $240k/yr
Responsibilities
- Generate mission test scenarios that validate autonomy and flight-control software under real-world conditions.
- Participate in design reviews and create detailed test plans from feature requirements.
- Conduct and manage system verification and validation events through flight-readiness qualification.
- Write test analyzers in Python to report and benchmark system performance and qualification metrics.
- Produce test-coverage and release-readiness reports by aggregating test cases, results, and quality requirements.
- Recommend improvements to simulation models and fault-injection capabilities.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience testing complex integrated software systems.
- Expertise in test automation, including writing software to automate testing and preferably using simulation for automated integration testing.
- Strong software product development lifecycle experience, ideally with autonomy or vehicle systems.
- Understanding of system architecture, requirements derivation, and test planning across the V-model.
- Experience automating test cases in an existing test framework.
- Experience producing technical documentation such as test plans, quality-assurance reports, and operational procedures.
- Proven ability to ship products, navigate development cycles, overcome obstacles, and deliver high-quality solutions on schedule.
- Bachelor’s, master’s, or PhD degree in systems engineering, software engineering, computer science, or a related field.
- Preferred qualifications include autonomous or robotic systems experience, simulation software and hardware emulation experience, R&D or startup experience, build-test automation proficiency, and Python or C++ proficiency.
