Responsibilities
- Drive co-creation and execution of the Supply domain’s engineering strategy in alignment with product vision.
- Own and improve the Supply domain portion of Vinted Marketplace in collaboration with engineers.
- Define engineering best practices and provide technical leadership across domain and company-wide initiatives.
- Create and maintain the domain’s technical roadmap while coordinating execution with teams.
- Collaborate with other domains on shared technical responsibilities and overarching deliverables.
- Participate in developer collaboration through GitHub pull requests and code reviews.
- Shape architectural vision and support scalable, high-performance distributed systems.
Requirements
- Proven technical engineering leadership experience at Staff or Principal equivalent level.
- Track record of defining, leading, and delivering major company-wide technical initiatives.
- Ability to communicate complex technical goals effectively to internal and external audiences.
- Ability to drive architectural vision through collaborative and iterative software design.
- Excellent spoken and written English communication skills.
- Experience with high-scale distributed systems and systems operating at massive scale, such as handling 2+ million requests per minute.
- Deep knowledge of observability tools including Kibana, Grafana, and Datadog.
- Willingness to work with Go, Ruby on Rails, MySQL, and other technologies; prior familiarity with every listed technology is not required.
- Willingness to take on new challenges and continue growing as an engineer and leader.
