Responsibilities
- Perform ticket-based software builds, packaging, deployments, and activations on established Windows systems.
- Maintain automated and unattended Windows installation mechanisms and centralized offline update and patch management.
- Create and maintain Windows build, packaging, and deployment implementations using Ansible and scripted automation.
- Administer and troubleshoot Windows systems, including PowerShell automation, registry operations, and Active Directory tasks.
- Advise projects and delivery partners on Windows build, packaging, and versioning strategies and assess delivery documentation.
- Resolve anomaly reports and provide user support for account and service-tool access issues.
- Support routine builds, packaging, deployments, engineering coordination, and maintenance of the platform tooling landscape.
Requirements
- University degree at Master’s level or equivalent in a relevant discipline, or equivalent proven experience.
- At least 5 years of relevant professional experience.
- Advanced knowledge of Windows system administration, PowerShell, the Windows registry, and Active Directory.
- Experience with software configuration management, change-management processes, unattended OS installation, centralized patch management, Ansible, software packaging, and version-control systems.
- Experience with build environments such as Ant, Maven, autoconf/automake, or make; packaging formats such as MSI, NuGet, or EXE; and scripting, networking, distributed applications, and TCP/IP services.
- Experience administering and troubleshooting distributed systems and VMware virtualization.
- Knowledge of security principles, hardening techniques, secure architecture and protocols, and penetration and vulnerability testing tools.
- Experience in large-scale operational or production environments with high-availability requirements.
- Strong technical documentation, written and verbal English communication, analytical, problem-solving, autonomous-working, and multicultural teamwork skills.
- Experience with C/C++, C#, Java, Docker, Podman, Kubernetes, OpenText Dimensions CM, MySQL, Oracle, NIS, LDAP, NFS, DNS, SNMP, FTP, or NTP is advantageous.
