Base Salary
$136k - $184k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and implement new features for horizontally scalable, high-performance, highly available DNS resolution products.
- Support software integration, testing, deployment, maintenance, and vulnerability management.
- Take ownership of features from design through delivery.
- Develop and maintain C, C++, or Rust systems software focused on networking and routing protocols.
- Build and improve infrastructure automation, platform engineering, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment processes.
- Troubleshoot development environments, network issues, and large-scale distributed-system operations.
- Lead complex technical initiatives and promote documentation, release management, code commits, pull requests, and development best practices.
- Collaborate with team members in an Agile environment through standups, planning, grooming, and technical risk mitigation.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- 8+ years of relevant software development experience.
- Strong software engineering fundamentals and systems programming experience in C, C++, or Rust.
- Highly proficient in Python or a similar scripting language.
- Strong knowledge of DNS, networking protocols, server administration, operating systems, data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented design.
- Experience with behavior-driven testing frameworks such as Python Behave or Cucumber.
- Experience or strong willingness to learn Terraform, Ansible, Puppet, and OpenStack.
- Understanding of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Groovy, and GitHub.
- Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Highly proficient with Linux and experienced with troubleshooting tools such as gdb and tcpdump.
- Strong design, code quality, automated testing, code review, continuous integration, and continuous delivery skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication, independent problem-solving, teamwork, and technical leadership abilities.
