Base Salary
$180k - $225k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and ship backend services, APIs, data models, and durable product workflows end to end.
- Build scalable money-movement workflows using Temporal, including idempotency, observability, ledgering, reconciliation, and compliance gating.
- Use Claude Code, Codex, and similar AI coding agents as part of daily development while owning architecture, correctness, and quality.
- Develop secure, resilient, extensible, well-tested, and scalable systems that meet security, reliability, and observability standards.
- Shape product and technical roadmaps, break complex work into workstreams, estimate timelines, and drive features through launch.
- Raise the technical bar through code, design, and architecture reviews, mentoring, and participation in interviews.
- Collaborate with Product, Design, Analytics, Compliance, Infrastructure, and Operations, with occasional contributions to React/TypeScript frontend work.
Requirements
- Bachelor-level degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 4 years of engineering experience building backend services in collaborative, cross-functional environments.
- Strong Go experience or deep experience with Java, Kotlin, or C# and the ability to make Go the primary language quickly.
- Daily fluency with AI coding agents such as Claude Code or Codex, with the ability to use them without compromising quality.
- Experience designing secure, scalable, and performant cloud services, such as on AWS.
- Experience owning large features with Product Management, including workstream planning, estimation, tradeoffs, and delivery.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills for explaining technical tradeoffs to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Preferred experience with Temporal, Cadence, Step Functions, or similar workflow orchestration systems; payments, fintech, or money movement; and React/TypeScript.
